How to Read a Teleprompter Naturally (and Not Look Creepy)
The words are right there, so why does reading a teleprompter make so many people sound like a robot? It's almost never the script — it's speed, eye behavior, and phrasing. Fix those three and a prompter read is indistinguishable from off-the-cuff.
Slow the scroll to a talking pace
The 'creepy' read is usually a *fast* read — eyes wide, tracking hard, no breath. People talk more slowly than they think. Use this as a starting reference and adjust to your own cadence:
